I need help with the Aleinu (a prayer) pleaseee?

Q: if you dont feel like typing the answer u can just put the website plz. ok...... whats the difference between the aleinu we say on shabbat and the aleinu we say on yom kippur/rosh hashanah???? ive looked like everywhere and i cant seem to find it.....plz help

A: They're essentially the same. There are only two basic differences: the one in the high holiday musaf amidah is not as long - the weekday and sabbath one includes more verses afterwards than are included in the high holiday amidah version. And more importantly, during the high holiday amidah Aleinu, at "v'anachnu kor'im..." we actually prostrate ourselves, going down on our knees and bowing, rather than just bowing at the waist as we do normally. By the way, at the end of each rosh hashanah and yom kippur service, we say the regular aleinu prayer the whole way through, with all the words, and bowing instead of prostrating. It's only the one inserted in the musaf services during the amidah which is unique.
