Q: seriously why do we celebrate bdayz? theyre pointless we celebrate onez getting old and one year closer to death so why is that good? why celebrate?
A: Thats a negative way to think of it "one year closer to death". That may be true but life IS short, so why not celebrate and enjoy the time you have. Its a tradtion that brings joy to children and the whole family. If anything, it gives people something to look forward too. In a world thats so full of anger and violence, its nice to be able to get together with loved ones and celebrate the time you've spent on this earth. Getting older is not a bad thing, and for people who are in there 70s - 90s living each year they have is cause to celebrate. After all, no one knows when their time is up.
