Q: I've lived in London for 4 years and haven't been able to celebrate thanksgiving, but! This year my British friends have shown an interest and we'd all like to book a restaurant for a traditional American meal. Where is a great place? And please no suggestions like macdonalds...that's just not in the spirit of the holiday...and i really need some decent ideas. (My flat isn't big enough to have them over...) Of course I do realize that England doesn't recognize it as a holiday, I've lived here for years. But they do celebrate it in numerous towns, namely Plymouth...no joke. And I am more than aware it is for family and friends, as my friends are keenly aware and would like to be supportive as I'm away from my large, close family. But my flat is too small to have more than 4-6 people in it at a time and there is no place to set up a table. LOADS of Restaurants in London serve special Thanksgiving Dinners for the entire week of Thanksgiving, both for tourists and American Expats. I'm simply asking for some help from Londoners in finding an interesting place to take them where we can enjoy the company and good food.
A: American Embassy
