Three questions for my American cousins?

Q: First off! What is a turnpike? Secondly, What is the dish you seem to serve up in most films It's called a meatloaf. Is it a lump of sausauge or what! Thirdly Why and what is Thanksgiving Day. Why do you celebrate it and is it more important to you than Christmas. Or is it that you celebrate your Christmas earlier!

A: 1.) A turnpike is a stretch of highway that you have to pay a toll to use. 2.) It's made of hamburg. Egg is sometimes mixed into the meat to hold it together. It's baked in the oven and some people like to put ketchup on it. 3.) As for Thanksgiving, it's a secular holiday and it's a day to give thanks for what you have and is to be celebrated with friends and family. For more info on the holiday read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanksgiving_%28United_States%29 Thanksgiving is always celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November, so it occurs about a month before Christmas. To me it is an important holiday, but Christmas is a bit more important to me.
