Q: This is the second time I attempt to baste a turkey and I forgot how many degrees do I put the oven on and for how long. Right now, it's seasoned and marinating for tomorrow. A: Cook it at 325 degrees and check it after 3 hours if you're cooking it un-stuffed (or after 3 1/2 hours if you're cooking it stuffed). It's hard to nail down the exact time without knowing the exact size of your turkey, and that's why I always use a meat thermometer. If you're cooking it un-stuffed, the temperature should be 180 degrees in the thigh when done. If you're cooking it stuffed, the temperature in the stuffing should be 165 degrees when done.
