Q: there is a tradition in the south ....you cook greens and blackeye peas...one is for money the other is for luck...my question is ...what day do you actually cook them on new years eve or new years day?
A: New Year's Eve- if you have food in the house coming into the new year, you'll have food all year long. That's the way it was explained to me once.
