Should I be mad?

Q: My husband and I have four kids ages 10,3,2,and 1 years in a few weeks. We were invited to thanksgiving dinner at my grandmas and hardly anybody showed up and there was no mashed potatoes left or anything for us or the kids. My mom knew my husband had to work today till 2pm and she said be there for dinner around 3. It takes a long time to get ready and get all the kids out the door. I felt like my mom should of told me not very many people were there and we could of ate at a restaraunt together. It made me mad because she knew my husband had to work and we have 4 kids and it takes awhile to get out the door. She told my daughter that there wasnt very many people here this year next year My husband and I and the kids should go to a restaraunt. I thought that was rude. Does anybody else agree??

A: yep. be pissed.. you deserve it. unfortunately as women we feel obligated towards our family (not immediate but gmas and stuff) so like you did, you went where your family was instead of going out.. ugh. we should learn to be more cold hearted lol.. im sorry... we had plenty of mashed potatoes.. i would have shared : )
