Q: It is 21.36 lbs. Isn't it 30 min per pound? *how long do you COOK a turkey
A: Apprx 20 minutes per pound get it to a high enough temperature (cooked from thawed) but it is more tender if you cook a little longer at a low temperature. I cook mine at 325 desired time, and center is 170 degrees. then I turn down to 250 and leave in the roaster until we are ready to eat. I also cook my turkeys breast side down and I get a more juice and tasty turkey. but not pretty.
