Q: ..."This is a day of thanks for the Pilgrim's successful invasions and the slaughter of thousands of innocent Native American lives" ?? Are the Indians still pissed off about that or do you think something different???

A: Well I don't think of it this way. I am Native American, but I am also of African descent. So for me and my family to fret over the pilgrims and how they betrayed my people would be a disgrace to what Thanksgiving really means to me. And it means that I give thanks to my ancestors both Native American and African American alike, and how they put up with their struggles and pain just so that I live to this day. If not for their bravery I would not exist. So why should I be bitter, I do not despise the Pilgrims but I give thanks to my people.
