Commercial holidays?

Q: Anyone else annoyed by the fact that since many businesses can't make money off of Thanksgiving (or that they make less than Christmas merchandise) that it is usually skipped? It always seems to go from Halloween to Christmas with me asking, "Where's Thanksgiving?" It's just as special of a holiday, because like on Christmas, families get together for the sake of spending time together for the holidays. Oh, and don't forget the food... But it absolutely irks me that most corporations throw Thanksgiving to the curb. Anyone with me? I agree with you S P, but Thanksgiving isn't commercialized much if at all outside the food industry as are Christmas and Easter. Also, Christmas and Easter are commercialized in the food industry too.

A: I don't know, anyone who shops for food will tell you Thanksgiving is pretty commercialized. In a way that's nice though, as commercialization has damaged some holidays, like Christmas, or just warped others, like Easter, kind of nice to keep Thanksgiving pretty pure.
