Q: Ok, Thanksgiving is coming up, and my girlfriends want to spend time on Thanksgiving with me and meet my family. Now, i've NEVER introduced any of my past girlfriends to my parents before, but I really like her. She's really cute, and sweet. I'm glad that she want to come to my Thanksgiving, but i'm nervous. There's gonna be A LOT of people at my house. Most of my family from Dominican Republic are coming over. Some of them are coming over from Nyc too. I'm afraid what they might say. I'm afraid what I might say, i don't want embaress her. There's gonna be a lot of music and dancing, however we don't know how to dance salsa. (I can dance bachata and merengue no problem though and i'm still trying to teach her.) So please help me. How do i introduce my girlfriend to my parents and my entire family?! What do i say?

A: Say Mom, Dad I want you to meet (insert girlfriends name). Girlfriend this is my mother(insert name)and my father(insert name). Then go from there. It will be so busy nobody will care if you can't dance salsa. What the heck just get out there and try. It would be fun goofing around and having a good time. Everyone is nervous the first time they introduce someone to their parents. Just take it a step at a time and go from there. Have a good time. Don't worry about it. You won't embarrass her. She is probably thinking she will embarrass you. Just remember the more people there is the less you both will be noticed. Just don't leave her to fend for herself at any time. It might be overwhelming for her if she is not used to a big family. Maybe have a signal that if it is getting to be to much for her or you that it would be know its time to go home. Good Luck and just remember its suppose to be fun not nerve racking. Just have fun and the rest will fall into place. Don't worry about it to much.
