Q: I noticed this year, all of tv is pushing Christmas, Not saying one iota about Thanksgiving. I thought Thanksgiving was before Christmas! What Gives? I think we should keep our trees up all year and the lights up all year. They should advertise Christmas 3651/2 days a year, Then maybe they can sell something.
A: It gets worse every year. Retail stores know they are going to suffer this Christmas due to the crappy economy...people are broke and in debt. And with the recent terrorist threats on shopping malls....I guess they figured they would bypass Thanksgiving this year. Because, ya know, there's no better way to celebrate the birth of Jesus than buying a bunch of material things for selfish people. I saw the results of a poll done where they asked a bunch of kids what Christmas was and a lot of them said Santas Birthday!
