Q: what is a good side dish to bring when your going to eat thanksgiving dinner at someones house?

A: You should ask the host. If not, bring a nice bottle of wine. But here's a very simple recipe that you could make and it will be something different for a change: VEGETABLE MEDLY Saute' 2 cups celery, sliced thin 1 cup onion, sliced thin 3/4 cup of green pepper, sliced thin ADD: 1 can shoestring beans, drained 1 can shoestring carrots, drained gently, 1 can mushrooms (YUCK!....omit this one!!!) 1 large can tomatoes (undrained) 3 Tablespoons of Tapioca (dried in a box) 1 Tablespoon of salt 1 teaspoon of pepper Bake in an 9 x 13" pan at 350-degrees until all is cooked through and the juices have become thick. Stir occasionally and let sit before serving.... You will like this one and I think you will surprise people as to how yummy it is and they will think it took you HOURS to make...that one is something you can keep a secret!!!
