Q: Ok, I thought that Thanksgiving was suppose to come after Halloween, right? But the stores are telling me different. It doesnt seem like Thanksgiving is even consitered a Holiday anymore. Everyone is jumping right into Christmas. I dont like it when they are already advertising Christmas sales and holiday things when its not even thanksgiving, does anyone feel the same? Like the stores are just going to Christmas to soon, and making the holiday season so commercial. Now it seems as if the holidays are all about buying toys and big inflatable santas. I hate it! And the worst part is that EVERYONE living in America should celebrate Thanksgiving. It has nothing to do with religion, its just giving thanks to America, honoring America. Does anyone feel the same?

A: Unfortunately it isnt your average people doing this - it is big companies who after seeing a few poor sale seasons have decided to start Christmas in October to give people an extra couple months of pay checks to start stocking up. Walmart is doing there secret sale items already - they had stuff out before Halloween as did the Dollar store and Kmart. You are totally right about no Thanksgiving stuff, geez its like it doesnt even matter. The reasoning - they arent going to make money off of Thanksgiving, people are going to buy the food no matter what and they hope when they are buying food that people will be buying presents at the same time. Its a shame that America has become so materialistic!
