Q: im english and hate being called british . so why doesnt everyone support st georges day. like they celebrate st patricks day .my girlfreinds irish and she supports st patricks day i cant coz im not irish (and i feel like im trying to be irish if i celebrated it )why dont they make st georges day a national holiday so we can have a pucker day for everyone all colors and ages coz if your born in england your english right? i cant celebrate st patricks day coz i m not irish and in doing so id try to be something im not IRISH !!! BESIDES U CAN GET DRUNK ON ST GEORGES DAY
A: cos our govt. won,t let us incase we upset anyone. we should be more like the usa where we have a national holiday for it, put flags up and celebrate being British. people of all colours,races are british too but the hierarchy tend to forget that.
