Q: we just have a day dedicated to him and i would like to know how he has affected people :]

A: I'm half Irish so this is a pretty easy question for me ;). St. Patrick became the bishop of Ireland during it's pagan years, and he used the shamrock to symbolize the Holy Trinity. Today Irish people everywhere celebrate his feast day on March 17th every year, which is supposed to be the day he died.
