Q: I should know considering my background is scottish, irish and english...urg! but i dont unfortunately. All i know is that people drink alot on St. Patty's Day. So i know it comes from either Ireland or the UK, but why do we celebrate it? and where does the luck thing come from during that day? thanks in advance!
A: Patrick murdered the druids because they wore a head band with the symbol of the cobra on it (those are the snakes he drove out of Ireland they where running for their lives)which was there right as a free people, but the catholic church tried and failed to convert all of them to catholicism so they sent patty out to slay the ones that resisted.The remaining had two choices practice the catholic faith or die.hence the name "Irish-Catholic".
