I don't get drunk on St. Patricks day, I don't like guiness or any type of beer. I'm just saying, another paid holiday off work would be nice. Sheesh! Lizzie - I already have the day off this year and I'm not Catholic. I just thought it would be nice to have an Irish holiday be official.
A: I'm Irish, and St Paddy's day is already a national holiday, so whats the big deal. Whats even better this year is that I'll only have a 3 day working week, because good Friday is in the same week. It worries me when I look at other peoples answers, who obviously are not Irish, claiming that the day is all about getting drunk? I find it 'just a touch' offensive....and if that's all they see they day as than maybe other countries should not make it a national holiday. Come to Ireland next year, and see how its celebrated properly
