Saint Patrick's day is coming next month...who among you are Irish?

Q: Very good Johnny. I am Canadian with Irish citizenship. My grandfather came from Northern Ireland. I will be sure to have a fine green ale for ya!

A: Remember, on St. Patrick's Day, everyone is Irish. Did you know that St. Patrick was a English priest? Did you know that he was sent to Ireland to bring a group of Irish known as the Black Irish back into the religious fold of the Roman Church? We often hear that St. Patrick drove the snakes/serpents from Ireland. In reality, there never were any snakes on the Emerald Isle. However, the Black Irish had taken up worshiping serpents as part of their Catholicism. The next time you meet a girl named Tara, tell here that her name in Gaelic means "center." For her name is the most religious name of all the Irish. For it was in the Hills of Tara that St. Patrick re-converted the Black Irish to the Roman Church.
