Q: What is St patricks day? When is it celebrated? How is it celebrated? Pls anser this.Thankyou.

A: St. Patrick's Day is celebrated every year on March 17th. The saint is reknowned for bringing Christianity to heathen Ireland in the 6th century AD. He used the 3 leaf shamrock to show how God could be 3 persons in 1 (the holy trinity, the father, the son and the holy spirit). In Ireland, it is a feast day and Catholics must go to Mass. It used to be a very low key day and there would be small, religious parades in towns and villages, but the American influence has set in. The day became very commercialized in the U.S. and Canada, with huge parades, rivers and bayous dyed green and everyone would party all day, drinking green beer in the bars. Everyone of all races and religions is Irish for a day, and wears something green. The religious significance has all but disappeared.
