Q: My mom is a Hindu and she of course celebrates Rahki, Diwali, and she goes to the Mandri/Temple. My dad is a muslim and when i was a little girl, me and my family flee here to london because my dad was a alcoholic. Since then i have celebrated everything my mom celebrates, such as Rahki and Diwali. I heard that it is wrong for me, as a muslim, to celebrate things which are not related to islam. Do you think i would be punished? Be nice, and don't say anything rude about my mom, because i'll break your face :) Shukran! My heart believes in Islam. No other religion Lol no i am not a troll! My mum converted when she married my dad but she stopped believing in islam when we flee from Abu Dabhi, UAE. I know my mom is in the wrong because she stopped believing, but may allah guide her :)
A: I dont think there's anything wrong with it - if you feel as though you are muslim then basically go and be involved in it all: at the end of the day its your intentions that matter - if you go to make prayer to the hindu gods versus if you go to be involved with you family/have fun etc. Your mother is one of the most influencial and important people in your life and if despite being of a different religion she has given you the choice to choose your own - she must be a very great lady! Im sure most of us sang hymns, choirs and such when kids at school - it didnt make us christian did it? I just think its up to God to judge each person at the end of the day,and as long as your intentions are good then who cares what anyone thinks...
