Q: Like Saudi Arbia and Afghanistan.....?
A: That's a really good question. I'll be looking to see what genuine answers you get. Hopefully from arabs. I hope you don't get a load of stupid answers. I always think that it's just cultural. Even if you look at the different ways that children or old people are treated in different cultures. Or even imagine how wealthy people treated poor people in past times. Everybody knew their place in that society and accepted it. It's a similar idea. I also like to think that the women there don't feel as bad as we would feel if we were placed in that situation because they have been brought up in that culture. Also, the men have been brought up in that culture so they are just behaving as is expected of them. I'm sure they all love their parents and children as much as we do.
