Q: In Ramadan where i live they think Ramadan is only for food like not swearing and looking at the women and stuff. Well i was wondering what about listening to music like Eminem,2pac or stuff like that will it break my fast? Im not watching the videos just listening to the music. What about country music. Thanks. A: listening to music breaks your fasting morally, and it doesn't fulfill the purpose of fasting which is submit and giving up all things that make you commit sins, watching the videos or listening it is the same, it will divert you from remembering Allah (swt), by the way do you know why we say: Ghufranak (O Allah forgive me) when we get out from the bathroom/WC? because we don't remember Allah inside it, so what if we are listening music? Allah knows
