Q: One friend of mine said he wants to do ramadan because he says no other abrahamic religion gives a challenge like ramadan so he wants to do it. He is serious. The other wants to do ramadan just because of the other person, just so he can "say" he won. He is serious also. Both seem like the wrong reasons to do ramadan to me, so wut do u think i should do? Tell them to stop until they come with a good reason, or just let them do it. I think a non muslim and muslim alike should come to do ramadan with a purpose to learn rather than a competition like mind. Wut do you think?

A: a few years ago, i started fasting along with my muslim best friend so that she would be comfortable (it was my own personal choice) slowly i started learning and asking questions about Islam; today i plan to convert to Islam very soon inshaAllah. so, i think you should let him.. the least that would happen is that he will learn that its not as easy as it looks like.
