Q: to the poor and such other stuff like money? Why does it take an action of abstinence to make people realise that they dont need to suffer just to feel how the poor feel, they just need to be good and donate to the needy. And the poor dont eat as much as the well off do, some dont eat for days while rich muslims get to eat as soon as Maghrib is called..and they eat a whole lot mind you... Dont be a hypocrite, if you like to fast, do it as sunnah every single day of your life if you are well. I think none of you have understood my question, what is its purpose.. I guess what I'm trying to say is to question the logic of fasting from food itself. LoL.. I am an ex muslim, I know what it was like, I have done the haj and umrah and actually fasted in mecca. Your quran quote says exactly that.Fasting has absolutely no meaning other than doing it just for god. Edit 2 to desertfox, yes fasting has some medical benefits like detoxifying your body(ie a sick person), however, doing it for a whole month is detrimental, especially to a growing child who undergoes puberty. Wish you muslims a good ramadhan nonetheless!! Assalamualaikum! Yes, pink blink, how hypocrite of me, a muslim turned atheist.. Oh look you just used vulgarities just because I dont share the same beliefs, Yup, no hypocrisy there..

A: your fool mixed hypocrite, why did you do Hajj and fast in Makka? go burn yourself in a cup of gasoline then get yourself a sh!t for pigs!
