Q: i mean, if its cloudy outside, we dont stop and dont offer our salat then why are some ppl persistent on physically viewing the moon to declare ramadan?

A: THats what i think, but unity i think is more important.....but there still seems to be lack of that. LIke we're not even to the point yet to argue about scientific method. There is always the saudi moon sighting only people. Just about every mosque in PA i think decided we'll just follow isna.....but then still some people will celebrate eid a day early or later because saudi arabia is.. I remember the one eid, the moon was thought to not be able to be sighted, then they just caught it in Hawaii, so we said eid is tomorrow, but others refused to accept that and fasted an extra day. Anyways, i have no idea what isna's criteria was, but I know they had that ramadan would be the 1st a month ago. (might've had that posted before, but no one really checked).
