Q: In Jeddah, just around Iftar time, you will find some teens in most major intersections in streets, distributing free bags to people in the car, it includes packed dates, water and laban. This is not charity, or not sponsored by anyone or organized work. They are normal families, volunteerly distributing these packs to every car, to help them break the fast, and win their rewards. This is not to the poor. It is to everybody who got caught in time. These people usually caught in traffic, or got out of office very late. I always break my fast few times every Ramadan with them. It became so common, that we start look where they are when we are still in the car and it is Maghreb already. Today, I started my first day iftar with one of those packs. I have to add, this phenomena started here since only like 3 or 4 years ago! Now it became the norms during every Ramadan.

A: yes, same in Egypt. they offer really fine foods that i hardly see when it is not Ramadan. it also became so common that it reached villages! i saw a man who stopped his car on the road & opened a case & began to spread packages to other cars. i mean it was not his territory, yet he used his car to feed fasting people on the road (high way) where there is no buildings or supermarkets nearby... i don't remember beyond 3 or 4 years, as i used not to travel at el-Maghreb time except soon.
