First, I would appreciate if NO reference is made to the Exegises, Opinions of scholars and Hadith or Sunnat. Please focus ONLY on the Arabic of the verse. And translate it as faithfully as possible, WITHOUT !!!!! any pre-acquired biases. There are TWO specific words in the verse, to which I need a GOOD explanation. 1- Zulufin. 2- Tarafein. I guess I need to add more details: One of the Arabic speaking person that I consulted, told me that: 1- "Tarafein" means "Towards the ends" or "direction / pointing towards the Sides (ends)". But NOT the sides (Ends) themselves. 2- Dhulufin (or Zulufin) means parts. Now please correct me if I am wrong here. Can this verse mean: And deliver your contact prayers in the parts of the night that are adjacent (pointing towards) to the ends of the day e.g. before sunrise and soon after sunset. Please DO NOTE the following. There is a word "wa" (and) in the verse before the mentioning of "Parts (Zulufin)" of the night. Therefore, I need your correction to my translation, KEEPING the word "wa" in mind. This "wa" sometimes tells me that, my understanding may NOT be correct. This is another point of view that I am noting down. @Ruchkat I think u need to re-consider "Zulufin". It cannot be "Begining". Because the time of Fajr, is the End of the night and not the Begining. @Ruchkat Consider, the following meaning of Zulufin: Zulufin = "Near or adjacent parts to" Correct or No.
