Q: So today was the first day of Ramadan and i got to fast my second time yay because last year i threw up after the sun went down and i ended my fast. Anyway fasting is one of the pillars of Islam and i told my sis that i have to do it she said its ok with her as long as i drink alot of water and eat alot before starting my fast but my mom she doesn't want me to fast cause she is worried about my heath cause she thinks i'm beyond skinny. So i plan to fast tomorrow but is it a sin cause i'm going aginst my mother's will? I am not sick. i am 14 years of age

A: well Almighty God says in the Quran: "Ramadan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur-an, as a guide to mankind, also Clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put you to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful". (2:185) so if you're sick you should not fast now but if you're not the you must say no to your mother and fast the month and it won't be a a sin God says: "And We have enjoined on man goodness (Ihsan) to his parents, and if they contend with you that you should associate (others) with Me, of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them, to Me is your return, so I will inform you of what you did."(Al-Qur'an 29:8) and there is a hadith also but i don't remember it, it was about a women who asked her son not to go to AlIsha' prayers because it was so cold, and prphet Muhammad told that man NOT TO OBEY HIS MOTHER and come to prayers.
