Q: does any one wen ramadan start in america?
A: Salam for you my dear WS.I think ramadan in america should be started since yesterday monday on September 1,2008 because america lies in the western part of Saudi Arabia while in this country started yesterday too.The calculation for starting the fasting during ramadan is made by seeing the emerging moon on the west part of the sky..If the moon just can be seen although in the very small part it means that the beginning of a new month of ramadan will start.
