Is the Passover important to you?

Q: To all the Jews out there, how effective is the Passover in keeping your faith on track? What is the meaning to you and does it have a major impact on your faith? Is it a major part of your religion?

A: Hey, I'm Orthodox, so I'll tell you, it's seriously important. When G-d took us out of Egypt, He chose us as His nation, like it syas in our Torah. The whole thing was a test of faith because of all the miracles He did for us. So once a year, we sit down and reminisce about what happened to our forefahters, and we thank Him for everything. It's pretty effective, because my family and I get really into it and have discussions about it and little insights from our sages. And after, we feel closer to Him then we were before. The meaning is that He will do anything and everything for His nation because He loves us. Every year I love Him more and understand Him more and appreciate Him more. It's a huge part of our religion. every day, three times a day, we thank G-d for taking us out of Egypt and choosing us. In each of our prayers we say thank you to our G-d, Who took us out of Egypt, us, a nation He chose, that He loves. It's important that we thank Him because we want Him to know that we think about what he did for us everyday.
