Q:

A: the flight out of Egypt by the Hebrew slaves lead by Moses, was and is remembered by this meal. The angel of death did enter as the last plague, and killed the first born of Egypt, passing over the households that had the blood markings of a lamb on the door posts, this was to signal the angel of death to passover these houses, as they were not Egyptian, thus saving the hebrew dwellers that night. This account is in Exodus, the second ot book, written by Moses. Passover was with certain foods only. And was then celebrated by Christ and his followers the night before his own death...and thus turning it into the rememberance of his own death, which is why he says, remember me each time you take this meal, my blood given to you, my body broken for you, do this in rememberance of me, till I return, for I will not drink of this wine again, untill I am with you in my kingdom, that means his banquet for his followers after his final return to earth when we join him and the dead that died first in heaven. We shall then have the same meal in heaven, like a wedding banquet, for Jesus is the groom, and we his church are the bride..all written in the bible. Now you know the whole story. Jews still practice this, christians practice it during communion or eurharist.
