Q: Is an ashkenazi ( considers rice to be chametz) allowed to go to a sefardi ( that eats rice on pesach ) home on pesach? what is done in this situation? To clarify, I'm not in this situation, but i would just like to know what would be done. it is considered chamets by them, so if they eat it they get karet. yeah?

A: rabbis i know permit eating at a sephardic home, and eat out of there dishes (just don't eat rice with them) since kitniyot is not chametz but an old custom. the punishment for eating kitniyot is not karet anyway, but malkot.
