Q: i'm going to my first bar mitzvah in november. i need to be filled in like what to give, what to wear, and everything. also, my parents said that i cant go unless i carpool. but all my friends aren't really friends with the guy who's bar mitzvah it is. you know? so how can i carpool with people who i am sort-of friends with?
A: Girls should wear a nice outfit--nothing flashy or showing a lot of skin. Some nice shoes and a piece or two of jewlery, if you have anything or can borrow it. Sort of what you would wear if you were gong to church. Sometimes girls wear a light sweater or wrap over the dress during the service, and take off the sweater or wrap for any party that's after the service.
