Q: I am trying to get back with this girl I dated a few months ago. She broke up with me because I would not commit but am ready to now. We have been hanging out and calling each other a lot lately but she's kind of hot/cold on me. Whenever she's cold, I back off and then she'll call me but i feel like I'm spinning my wheels. Her 27th birthday is tomorrow (I'm 28) and I was planning on getting a small present, like her favorite dessert. Now i'm not so sure because I don't want to look to eager. She knows I still like her (I have told her), and she acts like she's warming up to the idea of us lately. I don't want to do too much and scare her off or too little and look like a jerk. What should i do for her birthday?
A: I think the desert is an excellent idea! You do want her to know that you were thinking of her, but don't want it to do that you were thinking about her too much and your crazy in love with her. Very good idea!
