Q: my closets friends and some cousins are going to be invited. (my friends ages are 13 and my cousins are 13, 14, 14, & 16) i don't think i categorized this question in the right spot sorry im not sure where to put it. Here's a list of what planning to do: -staying overnight at a place that has a pool, rockclimbingwall, excersize rooms, gymnasium/basketball court, running track, tennis, & party rooms. -i want to do rockclimbing more than anything else of the choices since all my friends have pools at their houses & etc. -when the guess arrive they will come to the party room and will be greeted. there will be crazy funky junky(lol) hats for them to choose of and music will be playing. we'll spend an hour & a half of mingling and chatting then we'd start the rock climbing. -there will be a snack stand so when the guest are chatting they can grab whatever. the snack stand will include Baked Lays sour Onion chips, grapes, strawberries, and M&Ms. -later on after rock climbing there will be a cookie platter from Subway and the guests may eat that. I'm not sure what the dinner will be yet but i'm aiming towards the Sub platter & pizza but thats too typical for parties. -each guest will hide their present in the party room while i'm gone but they will not do it together. they can not tell anyone where they hid the present. -besides a cake what would go good? -im thinking of during a murder scene(fake of course) or a scavenger hunt. a.im not sure how to do the murder scene but i was looking online for ideas and that popped out to me. b. for the scavenger hunt its either(which one sounds more fun?) I.my parents will hide prizes for the guests and they have to find them and they get one of each prize they find.(the prizes will be like boas, candy, & post-it-notes that are the letter of their first letter in their name) II.we have to find things around the place like the excersize room or a brochure & stuff like that. Questions: Should their be food for the breakfast or do they go home before breakfast? What do you think of this birthday party idea? should there be anymore things/stuff? What should we get for the dinner thing? What should we do after rockclimbing? what kind of music should be playing? Should we bring sleeping bags.. air mattresses? Which scavenger hunt idea is better? do you like the murder scene idea or the scavenger hunt? sorry its sooo long! How about a paintball party? are those expensive? maybe a paintball party for 14th bday party. i want my guests to have fun with activities that me and them can enjoy. how would you rate the party?(scale of 1-10 and 10 being awesome and 1 being horrible)
A: well i LOVE the whole thing first of all. but i'd think you should maybe leave out the murder scene for another year so you don't get even more stressed or overdo it. but do the sports things (like the rockwall--those are fun, i did one for a previous party), the hat/dancing/music idea, and the scavenger hunt about finding their presents (that way they are motivated to winnn hahaha). that should fit together nicely (: for music? choose something thats easy to dance to for sure, but it really depends on what everyone likes. like i like alternative, but if i wanted to be totally crazy i'd pick girlie hits like girls just wanna have fun or something plus there's a new song hot n cold by kady perry that's pretty fun. just ask the others what they'd like. i'd say that as long as no one has to leave really early, have them stay for breakfast so you can kinda sleep in and stuff. just get a variety of donuts if that's ok with everyone. and just bring sleeping bags --- air mattresses may be a little much. that party would TOTALLY be a 10 because you have a great variety. just ask them what they think of it...don't tell them everything because you want it to kinda be a surprise... but just prepare them for packing things. i hope that helps and just relax! great job planning it (: A+
