What's a good Birthday Present for My Dad?

Q: I want to get him a really REALLY nice gift because he's always talked to me a lot more this year.He doesn't have a lot of interests except he does have a library in his office.Oh, and he collects baseballcards for each year (he already collected this year's addition). All I have is $30.I'm also working on a portrait of him (I'm really good at drawing or at least that's what my friends say).So what should I spend on the $30?

A: Book Subscription to his favorite magazine or newspaper. Take him out! Spending time with you is going to mean SO much more to him than anything you buy him! Go out to lunch or dinner, movie, mini golf, anything! Spending that time with you is going to mean so much to him, more than something you buy! Something for his office, maybe a fountain Cds of his favorite singers or bands Dvds of his favorite shows or movies You can also put together a basket of his favorite things. Candy, snacks, treats, books, etc, Anything that you know he likes. He will love having that next to him while watching his favorite show! If he commutes to work, you can get him a gas card, and they have mugs if he takes coffee or tea with him, you plug it into the cigarette lighter and it keeps the drink warm while it's plugged in. Get his car washed, waxed, and detailed. Get him another baseball card or two to add to his collection. If he has a favorite player, team, etc see if you can find that player or a team card, etc and give him that. Display case for his baseball card collection or maybe some kind of an album for him to keep his collection in. What is his keeping them in now? Maybe you can get a frame for him to keep some of his favorites in and hang them on the wall. Being you and your dad are getting closer you can go and get one of those collage frames, they are not expensive at all, and you can get them in any store in their framing dept. They are the ones that are one big frame with the many openings. Some have different sized openings, some are one sized. You can get them in Michael's, Kohl's, Target, Walmart, Linen's and Things, anywhere!! Anyway, get the frame and then put pictures of you and your dad together in the frame leave 2 of the openings blank. One to write Happy Birthday and the date, and one to take a picture of you and him together on his birthday and put the picture in there when it's printed out/developed. This way the most recent picture is also included. Make sure all the pictures are pictures of you and him together, throughout the years. He will LOVE it! It's like a scrapbook for his wall, he can hang it whereever he wants and look at when he wants! You can also get one of those frames that you buy and decorate with paint and things and decorate it and put a picture of you and your dad in there. He would love that too. You can make him his favorite dinner and dessert or just dessert. Clothing, like a tie, t-shirt, etc Sunglasses If he likes wine, you can get him a bottle of his favorite wine or even champagne. If he likes any sports or any sport teams, you can get him some fan gear, like a shirt, hat, car mats, mug, etc. I hope some of these ideas help and that your dad has a very Happy Birthday!
