Q: what did they call birthdays in medieval times? Did they even celebrate them?
A: From what I've read, many medieval people didn't even know their birthdays. I think that, in those times, people were much more likely to celebrate their name days (the feast days of the saints they were named for) with food, music, dancing, drinking, etc.
