Canada's National Sex Day

Q: On August 21st, National Sex Day will be celebrated. This is a new holiday that was created by Jonathan Yaniv, a student at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Surrey, BC. It's not an official holiday, but he's already got quite a few participants. (Article: http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/080810/national/national_sex_day) What do you think about this? Is it a good idea, or not? He IS promoting safe sex by distributing free condoms and he encourages people to have safe sex, so if people do anything stupid it's their fault, not his. =P

A: lol, same thing as masturbat-a-thons. both shed light on subjects that, despite recent advancements, people are still shy to talk about, or are even look down upon, even though they are a very primal and basic need. obviously practicing safe sex is to be encouraged (we REALLY dont need anymore babies for awhile), and if people think that such a holiday is obscene, then I say, heh, 'f u c k em' lol I say the dude should get places like condom companies to sponser him to spread this 'holiday.' Although, there is always the downside that we could see population on the rise 9 months from then O.o ah well :P
