Q: today is my friend and his daughter's bday but i am busy on moving to my apartment. I forgot that their bday is today and it's R.S.V.P. I texted him couple weeks ago that I'm going to his party with my wife and son. Along the way, I forgot about it because of the moving part.plus my wife has to go to work today. how would you guys handle this situation?it's easy but i don't want him to get upset because i told him that we are going then the last minute i'm backing up..
A: Just be honest. It's call life and in life as they say "Sh*t Happens". Honest is the best policy. Just pay them an unexpected visit someday and take them out for a treat at your expense. It's hard keeping track of a lie so just tell him the truth because if you lie and he found out about it then that would make matters even worst. And as they say you'll be going from a bad situation to worst one. He'll probably be upset and disappointed but you can redeem yourself by taking them out to dinner or just send them an unexpected gift at an unexpected time.
