Q: i need a CHEAP idea for a party my parents think the beach is cool and i dont mind it but i am trying to make a staement thet i can through a fun party so any good idea outdoor is good and do u think it is bitchy to just tell my clueless parents wat i want instaed of getting something like a waste of money not at my house
A: I think at the beach would be a great idea, actually! It usually doesn't cost anything to get in (where I live anyway), and you can set up the whole party in like a gazebo or something. Get a couple fruit trays from costco and make fruit kabobs. Also, Wal Mart usually has plates, cups, napkins, and table cloths pretty cheap, or you could check a dollar store too. See if you can find cheap umbrellas in funky colors and give them as party favors to keep people out of the sun! It's not bitchy to tell them what you want, give them your ideas and then go shopping with them to make sure you get at least close to what you were thinking. I'm sure they'll appreciate your input because it's a lot of pressure to try and throw someone a party without knowing what they want! Just don't be like the girls on TV where it's whining about not getting EXACTLY what you wanted. Have fun!
