Q: Do they get to celebrate at all with any kinds of festivities. If not, Happy 4th from the states. I'm not having such a great one either as I was diagnosed with Stage I Uterine Cancer but I am still happy I am still alive even though I am not very happy living in Alaska. But it's a least a little better than Iraq. Semper Fidelis, BG I'm glad to see that some troops from Ft Rich returned but I still can't stand Alaska. I live in the valley and call it the "Red Neck Valley." Senator Ted Steven's even called it "The Valley Trash." And I believe he's right. Garbage everywhere, junky cars, only one Super Walmart full of 5,000 people. I just want to go home where people hopefully are still civilized! No fireworks in Anchorage this year. Too many forest fires.
