Q: All week, people in my neighborhood have been lighting off fireworks. They decide that anytime after MIDNIGHT on weeknights is the best time, because apparently they dont have jobs or other family members who need sleep. Im willing to tolerate plenty of noise on the 4th, or new years, but any other time my tolerance level isnt that high. These arent roman candles, either. Everyone here gets illegal fireworks from the reservation, and I know what the difference is. I got probably 3 hours of sleep last night, as the apocalypse occurred outside my bedroom window. Im not trying to be a crab, but after today, at what point do you think its appropriate to call the police?
A: What I'd do is around the 8th of July, long after they've gone to sleep is light off a heck of a banger just outside their bedroom. Give them about two hours and then repeat it. Hopefully they get the message.
