Where is the Independence day fireworks close/or in the beach in California?

Q: I plan to go to the beach on the 4th of july weekend, I just wondering is there any fireworks around the beach? Thank You Any place. Sf, La, Monterey etc. it's ok. thx

A: Souza Pyrospectaculars hosts a major 4th of July fireworks extravaganza along Monterrey Bay. They did the fireworks last year on July 4, and likely will do this again this year. The fireworks start at dusk, so I think around 10pm California time. The display is around 15-18 minutes. This 4th of July fireworks is a pyromusical---that is, fireworks set to music...but you need to be near the fireworks site to hear music on speakers while the fireworks are going on. The best view of the spectacular fireworks can be seen by going to Santa Cruz University, and watching them outside the School of Music at the University, on the west side of the building, where there is nothing but open field and a big hill that leads somewhere to Monterrey Bay. If you can't go near the fireworks site, you can listen to the radio simulcast of the music with the fireworks. Watch how the shells change with the different music....for instance......mystery Weeping Willows during one 3-minute song, and then, multicolored peonies during another one 3-minute song, or angry-bee multibreaks during one 3-minute song, etc.
