in california cities that allow fireworks, can they sell in like a vons or ralphs or only in a temporary booth

Q: I ASK THIS BECAUSE IN OREGON, THEY CAN DO BOTH AND I WAS WONDERING IF IT IS THE SAME IN CALIFORNIA (IN OREGON, SUPERMARKETS HAVE ISLES OF FIREWORKS DURING THE 4TH)

A: We have strict laws on fireworks and their sales in California, especially Southern California, and Northern cause of all the trees. The actual laws preventing fireworks are enforced and estated by cities, but the state law puts regulations on what sort of city would be allowed to sell them/have them ignited. Our climate already causes enough risks for brush fires, and allowing fire works would only increase those chances. Plus the biggest time for fireworks sales is in July (Independence Day), and July heat would take a little spark from a firework and could blow it into a brush fire. No where in the state of California can fireworks be sold, unless there is a vendor, sectioned off from any permanent building, and they have to have a permit. So Vons, or other stores like it, could not sell the fireworks. The vendors are usually on parking lots. And the permit is only valid for a few weeks, so once it expires, that vendor cannot sell anymore. Plus these vendors can only be located in cities that permit fireworks in the first place.
