A: *takes a deep breath* 1. I could go on for years explaining this, a few important rules: You can only eat animals that chew the cud and have split hooves. You can only have fish which have fins and scales, and you should never cook milk and meat together. 2. You can wear anything, but on some days leather shoes are forbidden. What Rabbis wear is just traditional. The 'thing' on their head is a called 'kippah' and is used to show respect. 3. Jews pray in 'synagogues' which is a bit like a church. They pray reading from the Torah which is the holy book (what Christians call the 'Old Testament') and 'siddurs' which has all the prays to read from. 4. This will take a very long time so I'll just tell you two of them: Chanukah: Takes place in November or December for 8 days and celebrates the fact that when the Babylonians attacked they desecrated the Holy Temple and they didn't have enough pure oil to light the candle. They needed 8 days to make it but only had enough for 1 day. The miracle was that the oil they had left lasted 8 days. Jews often give presents on this day (and, of course, light the candles for the 8 days) Purim: In the most basic possible words: An important man called Haman tries to kill all the Jews in the kingdom but fails. Jews often dress up on this day. 5. Hebrew. The one used in Israel is a bit different to Ancient Hebrew. The bible is the Tanach which is all the scripts and the Torah part is the bit I mentioned earlier. On the Sabboth they say 'Shabbat Shalom' and there are alot of sayings for different times. I could go on for years but that's enough for now ;)
