Q: When I was little I remember Easter being always in March, then for some reason now it always seems to be falling in April, and later and later each year. I can't keep up with it.
A: Easter is dependent on the moon which is why it changes year to year. "Easter Day is the first Sunday after the full moon which happens upon, or next after the 21st day of March; and if the full moon happens upon a Sunday, Easter Day is the Sunday after." The 21st of March is used because it's the vernal equinox meaning there is an equal amount of daylight and darkness on this day. Easter Sunday can therefore occur between March 22 and April 25 depending on the lunar cycle.
