Q: Why Is It Only May 22 ,why cant everyone do everyday instead of just one? wouldnt that make more sense?????
A: There are a lot of people who just don't care. Since Earth Day has become so politically correct, though, people want to be seen driving their SUVs to the park to help rake up the McDonald's wrappers they threw there last fall. Our society is pretentious and shallow. If they need to get a little Earth Day credit, a little something to brag about with the other suburbanites, a little "oh, yes, we think it's SO important our children are raised to be responsible... into the Hummer, kids" let them have it. At least it's one day people will pick up after themselves. Sorry, I know this sounds a little defeatist...
