A: Earth Day was a holiday started in San Fransisco in 1969. It was originally on March 21, then moved to April 17. Earth Day is a day to celebrate our natural wonders and to help out making the world a better, cleaner place. It's to remind people that we should be better to Mother Earth, as she gave so much to us. Humans have been damaging Earth in many ways- Pollution (the hole in the ozone!), Species Extinction, etc. So hug a tree on Earth Day, and be clean!
