Q: Earth Day is a yearly event held to promote awareness of environmental issues. The first was in 1970. Each country either plant trees or flowers, people may stop driving as much as possible that day using only bicycles, do majors clean up jobs on the beaches, hold exhibitions on the effects of polution, and so many other things. Schools also get involved in this to create the awareness in children.

A: We had Mass Ceremony on the site of the smokey mountain during the Earth Day Celebration. And the first church with environment friendly materials will be erected there. Environment materials are the Philippine plywoods invented by one of our scientists that are made of leaves with imbedded seeds so that if you want to change your wall, you can just simply throw the plywoods and seedling will come out of those plywoods. I was able to see the house model out of this new invention in our Zero Waste Management Office last year.
